A wastewater treatment plant project in the Mingguang Economic Development Zone, Anhui Province
This project is a 20,000-ton-per-day industrial park wastewater treatment plant. In the face of numerous treatment challenges—such as complex influent composition, significant water quality fluctuations, and sudden surges of high‑load wastewater—the project has selected the LSP process as its core treatment technology. One of the most notable features of this process is its exceptional shock‑resistance, enabling it to adapt to the variable and unstable operating conditions typical of industrial wastewater and thereby mitigating system‑operational risks arising from water quality variability at the source.
Traditional processes are highly susceptible to microbial imbalance and effluent quality exceeding regulatory limits due to sudden changes in water quality and flow rate. In contrast, the LSP process employs nano‑biocarrier packing at its inlet, which supports a high microbial biomass; microbial attachment is far greater than in conventional systems, resulting in a rich and stable microbial community. Sludge concentrations can reach 15,000–30,000 g/L, significantly enhancing the system’s capacity to withstand shock loads.
Meanwhile, the LSP process leverages multi-stage microbial synergistic metabolism to enhance the stability of biological treatment, address challenges associated with recalcitrant biodegradability, and efficiently degrade pollutants such as COD, ammonia nitrogen, and total nitrogen, thereby effectively improving biochemical efficiency.
