Anhui Bengbu 100,000-ton-class Wastewater Treatment Plant Renovation Demonstration Project
The influent to this project consists of a mixture of municipal and industrial wastewater, presenting multiple treatment challenges, including a low B/C ratio, significant fluctuations in flow and quality, elevated nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations, and severe shock loads. These characteristics make it a widely recognized, complex wastewater‑treatment problem within the industry.
Following the upgrade and retrofit of the LSP process, the system’s shock resistance and pollutant‑degradation capacity have been significantly enhanced, resulting in a qualitative leap in water‑purification performance. The project has achieved stable compliance with regulatory standards, becoming China’s first demonstration project for upgrading a 100,000‑ton‑per‑day wastewater treatment plant using the LSP process, and providing a mature, replicable solution for the standard‑upgrading and green transformation of large‑scale wastewater treatment facilities.
Influent water quality: COD≤490mg/l, BOD≤150mg/l, TN≤45mg/l, NH 3 -N≤10mg/l, P≤3.5mg/l
Effluent water quality: COD≤50mg/l, BOD≤10mg/l, TN≤10mg/l, NH 3 -N≤5(8) mg/L, P≤1.0 mg/L
Processing capacity: 100,000 m³/d
