Recently, a specialized seminar on urban renewal—focused on the “Two Priorities and Two New Initiatives” policies and funding application procedures—was successfully held at the E20 Environmental Platform. Hosted by the Engineering Technology Application Center for Urban Waterbody Pollution Control under the Ministry of Housing and Urban–Rural Development, the event centered on national strategic opportunities, providing an in-depth analysis of policy directions and funding‑application pathways. The aim was to advance urban waterbody pollution control and drive high‑quality development in the sector, helping translate policy-driven opportunities into concrete, actionable outcomes.
Introduction
Recently, hosted by the Engineering Technology Application Center for Urban Waterbody Pollution Control of the Ministry of Housing and Urban–Rural Development, Specialized Briefing on the “Dual Focus, Dual New” Policy for Urban Renewal and Fund Application Procedures The event was successfully held on the E20 Environmental Platform. Focusing on national strategic advantages, the conference provided an in-depth analysis of policy directions and funding application procedures, with the aim of advancing urban water‑body pollution control and fostering high‑quality industry development, thereby helping to translate policy opportunities into concrete, tangible results.
Yang Chao, Chairman of Beijing Zhongkesanshui Environment Technology Co., Ltd., was invited to attend. , and with “Low-Carbon Sludge Reduction, Efficient Wastewater Treatment, and Value Co‑Creation” On the theme, the focus was on sharing… LSP technology The development history, core principles, technical advantages, and successful case studies of the low-sludge‑producing biological staged biofilm wastewater treatment technology, along with practical insights gained from applying for central budget‑funded projects and ultra‑long‑term government bond‑financed initiatives. Received high recognition from on-site experts and peers. 。
About LSP Technology
LSP technology, a wastewater treatment process pioneered in China and fully owned under independent intellectual property rights, It integrates materials science and microbiology. After 15 years of continuous innovation and technology transfer, this technology not only ensures stable compliance with wastewater treatment standards but also enables the resource recovery of organic sludge at lower operating costs. More than 90% reduction , with overall performance reaching world-leading levels.
Thanks to its outstanding performance, LSP technology has been approved by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China and included in… The first batch of “Zero-Waste Cities” Develop advanced and applicable technologies and promote them nationwide. Meanwhile, they have been successively included in the Beijing Municipal Catalogue. “Catalogue of Water Pollution Prevention and Control Technologies” and “Catalogue for the Promotion of Innovative Green Technologies” 。
Zhongkesanshui, as a leading company in the water environment sector, is highly New technology enterprise Guided by the principles of ecological priority and green development, and aligned with the national vision of a new, integrated governance framework for water resources, we leverage technological innovation as our pathway to address water pollution at its source, thereby supporting and advancing China’s environmental protection efforts.
Based on LSP technology, Zhongkesanshui has deeply developed Modular process packages and standardized equipment It is widely applied in municipal wastewater treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, decentralized wastewater management in towns and villages, and integrated watershed management, among other fields. To date, more than 100 demonstration projects have been successfully implemented both domestically and internationally, spanning Japan, the United States, Germany, Africa, and over twenty provinces across China. These projects serve sectors including municipal utilities, refining and petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, fine chemicals, textile dyeing, and coking, earning widespread acclaim from the industry and strong endorsement from clients.
Core Technical Principles
1. Unique packing material with exceptionally strong microbial enrichment capability.
Nanofiber fillers possess Ultra-large specific surface area (≥20,000 m²/kg) and ultra-high aspect ratio (≥2,500:1) , providing an ideal growth environment for microorganisms. After modification, the microbial attachment capacity is 3–8 times that of conventional packing materials, with a concentration reaching as high as 15,000–30,000 mg/L.
2. The process design is sophisticated, with staged concentration.
Microbial communities exhibit a zonal, tiered distribution, with greater species diversity and more distinct functional specialization.
Core Technological Advantages
1. The in-situ sludge reduction rate reaches as high as 70%–95%.
Through the synergistic interaction of process and carrier, a complete biological chain is established in tandem with a stepped food‑chain configuration, significantly reducing excess activated sludge.
2. Higher COD removal efficiency
A diverse microbial community and a longer food chain enhance the degradation capacity of recalcitrant pollutants.
3. Lower operating and sludge disposal costs
A tapered aeration design—high at the front and low at the rear—is employed to reduce the air‑to‑water ratio; sludge production is significantly minimized, naturally lowering disposal costs.
4. Enhanced impact resistance
The sludge concentration at the front end of the LSP reactor reaches as high as 15–30 g/L, significantly enhancing the system’s resistance to load fluctuations.
In an era when urban renewal and funding applications increasingly emphasize “practical results” and “technological sophistication,” the LSP process introduced by Zhongkesanshui is not only a low-carbon, highly efficient pollution-control technology but also a solution that can truly be implemented. A comprehensive solution for “sludge reduction, cost cutting, and efficiency enhancement.” From technological R&D to project implementation, and from policy interpretation to funding applications, Zhongkesanshui is taking concrete actions to help the industry transition from “passive pollution control” to “value co‑creation.”
